The Process

At Blades Skate Shop all staff members have been trained in the Maximum Edge skate sharpening system. Maximum Edge uses a seven-step patented squaring and finishing process:

• Machine Calibration
• Blade Preparation 1
• Machine Sharpening
• Blade Preparation 2
• Finishing Pass
• Blade Calibration
• Blade Finishing Process

Using this finely honed process you will receive the same consistent results from any of the members that many professional players are receiving from their equipment managers who have taken the Maximum Edge training program.

You should buy skates for young players that fit comfortably and tight enough to provide stability. Never buy skates larger than required allowing younger players to grow into them.
